Where Have We Been Since August??

It's hard to believe it's already February!  Where did the last five months go?

Johnny and his band began their Old Fashioned Girl tour in Davenport, IA in August, benefiting Ovarian Cancer Research.  The late summer evening was a great success and all enjoyed the hospitality of the Red Stone Room--a fabulous music venue in Davenport.  The kickoff event raised both money and awareness for OCR, a cause that is close to the heart and family of Johnny's manager and good friend, Michelle Brus.

Between tour dates, Johnny made a few trips with longtime friend and fellow singer/songwriter Rob Boyle to Indianapolis--which is quickly becoming a favorite tour city--for private gigs and shared a stage with Rob and a lovely lady of country music, Candy Coburn, in Springfield, MO last month.

Johnny also had the chance to experience the production side of the music business while helping produce Rob Boyle's new album, tentatively titled "Bent".

"I can't wait for people to hear it--I think it's gonna be his best record so far," he raves.

Johnny will sing harmonies and add percussion to the album, but is mostly enjoying being on the other side of the process for a change.

Johnny and Rob will also be performing at the Sheldon Concert Hall February 21.  This will be their 3rd show at the Sheldon and it is always a wonderful, intimate evening of music.  Expect a few special guests!  Tickets are only $8 and are available at any of Rob & Johnny's shows between now and then, or at the door.

The next stop on Johnny Henry's Old Fashioned Girl tour will be here in St. Louis, at Sky Music Lounge and will benefit LoveU2Pieces, an organization that was founded to address the needs of the family members of those living with Autism Spectrum Disorders--providing them with awareness, self-care and respite care.  Johnny has fans and friends who have been affected by ASD and hopes this concert will help LU2P with their mission.

Sky Music Lounge is located at 930 Kehrs Mill Road, Ballwin, Missouri 63011.  Tickets are available NOW via the event website at http://loveu2piecesconcert.eventbrite.com/ or at the door for $35.  Doors open at 7 pm.

Accessibility and personal connections continue to be a hallmark of Johnny's career and what sets him apart from other artists.  This tour is just one example.  Can't wait to see and hear what the future holds!
